Verizon Fios provides 100% fiber-optic internet featuring symmetrical download and upload speeds, no monthly data caps, and contract-free service. While Verizon does not offer standalone age-based senior discounts, eligible older adults can lower costs through account bundle savings or low-income financial assistance programs.

Key Takeaways & Plan Features

Symmetrical Upload and Download Speeds: Fiber connections deliver identical upload and download bandwidth, preventing video latency during medical consultations, family video calls, and remote work.
No Contracts or Data Limits: Plans operate without annual contracts or hidden data overage fees.
Included Equipment: Baseline and premium Fios internet tiers include the router rental price within the monthly service rate.
Verizon Forward Financial Relief: Qualifying low-income households (including seniors enrolled in SSI, SNAP, Medicaid, or Lifeline) can receive bill credits up to $30/month through the Verizon Forward discount program.
